Well, it's quite a bit more fun.. first you have to appreciate the oddity of driving on the left side of the road as opposed to the right. The graphics are quite a bit better (same engine but far better sprites) and the assignments are also more fun. Also, there are the ridiculous new cars - the Locust and the ones with the Brittish flag, gotta love 'em :-)

A horrible, horrible software engine, only Glide support and unbelievably idiotic timing mechanism render this game virtually unplayable on anything less than a Pentium II.

(A review of Grand Theft Auto 2)Well, the gameplay is exactly the same as the first GTA, which in this case is good, the radio stations are better in my opinion, plus you can change the radio station when in a car, that's a good thing, plus you can take pedestrians in a taxi for extra money, which is a extra. and fun to do, there are added weapons, and a people flying in the air physic, plus there are car theif's, and pick pocket guys, but that's where the good ends.
It seems there is like a lot of added features, but the game missions and secretes are the same, and the respect thing is just annoying, also the game get's too hard in the mission structure.

(A review of Grand Theft Auto (EU))First of all the good.
The gameplay: This is definitely the best part of the entire game. You finally can go anywhere. You can steal every car on the streets. You can even hijack a train, very hard to steer though. Also, the missions are very cool, and especially very varied. There even is a mission where you should drive a bus at a speed of 50 miles an hour. Speed style, very cool. The weapons are very crude, like a rocket launcher, a flamethrower and a machine gun. The more police on your tail the harder it gets. Try driving trough a road block with a damaged car, while there are 3 policemen shooting at you with machine guns. One cool feature is that there are walking several people behind each other, all in the same clothes. When you drive at once over all of them, it will say ''Gouranga'' and you'll get a bonus. You can also carjack a car which is standing on a parking. Mostly, you'll get a mission, or a kill frenzy.
The sound: The sound is really awesome. There are radios in the cars and each car has its own station to fit its personality like some trucks are country music and etc. Gun and explosions sound good also.
The story: The story is simple and not like RPG games when it gets all dramatic and such. It's just plain and simple mayhem. The greatest part about this is that you can do whatever you want. If your into doing missions only or going around killing people on the streets or even jacking cars and selling them if you want, easy to make cash in other words in this game.
The bad.
The graphics: The graphics are pretty bad. Sometimes you can't tell which way you are facing. I've walked into water and killed myself because of this. The cars are often impossible to tell apart, the bullets move so slow they look like the special effects in The Matrix, and the gun pictures are just awful.
